Police in South Carolina have arrested a man on dozens of charges after they say he mistreated dogs and used them for dog fighting.
On Monday, the Horry County Police Department announced the arrest of Jemar Chestnut, 41.
TRENDING STORIES
Chestnut, of Longs, was served with warrants on 29 counts of ill treatment of animals and 36 counts of harboring animals for fighting.
According to HCP, officers found a large number of the dogs while conducting an unrelated search warrant on June 1 at the location, off Highway 57 S near Wampee.
Chestnut was arrested June 5.
The dogs are not currently available for adoption, foster or visitation.
The investigation is ongoing.
