Kyrgyzstan has managed to double its carrot exports from 17,000 tons in 2019 to more than 30,000 tons this year, according to a statement from the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
The ministry explains that the increase is due to the quality of Kyrgyz carrots, which are grown using organic methods and natural fertilizers. This practice has helped boost the demand for Kyrgyzstan's carrots abroad.
Over the past four years, carrot production in the country has also gone up by 30,000 tons. The total production rose from 155,000 tons to 185,000 tons.
