Today, we learned new details about Fisker's next vehicle, the PEAR (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution). This agile urban EV is designed to cater to the future of clean and affordable individual mobility in cities. Fisker delighted reservation holders last year by unveiling a functional prototype of the PEAR. The electric vehicle smoothly traversed the streets of Los Angeles. Building on this success, the company is gearing up to introduce their second electric vehicle.

The PEAR will be available in both 2WD and Dual-Motor AWD models, with a targeted range exceeding 300 miles. This agile EV is specifically designed to meet the needs of urban mobility, leaving a lasting impression. It boasts a simplified E/E (electric/electronic) architecture, with high-performance computers connected via gigabit Ethernet.

In addition, Fisker has developed a Blade Central Computer with upgradable compute cards in-house. The electric vehicle incorporates Zonal Gateways connected to discrete CUs (control units) and virtualized ECUs (electronic control units). The PEAR also incorporates new low-cost ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) technology.

With an expected base price below $29,900 before incentives, the PEAR showcases an exterior design featuring innovative lighting technology. It features a wraparound front windshield inspired by the glass canopy of a glider plane. Furthermore, the PEAR includes a patent-pending Houdini trunk, which opens even in tight spaces. Unlike the Fisker Ocean, the PEAR offers a hot/cold frunk (front trunk) that facilitates food delivery services.

The company now expects to start producing the PEAR in the first half of 2025. It aims to reach a production volume of 250,000 vehicles per year once it fully scales up production. Fisker plans to manufacture the PEAR at Foxconn's massive facility, some 6.2 million-square-feet, in Lordstown, Ohio, utilizing Fisker's SLV1 platform and benefiting from US IRA tax credits. Fisker also has reduced the number of parts by about 25% compared to traditional vehicles. This will enable rapid and simple manufacturing while lowering CO2 emissions.

Fisker has exciting plans to expand the PEAR lineup. The company will be introducing two additional PEAR variations in 2026 and 2027, further meeting the demands of EV enthusiasts. Furthermore, Fisker aims to make a version of the PEAR carbon neutral by 2027. We love this as it demonstrates the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Although there might be a slight delay in its arrival, the wait for the Fisker PEAR will undoubtedly be worth it. We’ve reserved our Fisker PEAR and will be waiting for even more details to drop in the future.
