Virginia R. "Ginger" (Robinson) O'Shan, 77, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Philip H. O'Shan and the late Steven M. Kemp.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late, James and Virginia (Davis) Robinson.

Upon graduating Valedictorian from Johnston High School, Ginger received a Bachelor of Science and a BA degree from Bryant University. She also received her MBA from Bryant (College) University. Ginger went on to become a CPA for 35 years for the state of Rhode Island, Division of Taxation, during which time she served as Chief Revenue Agent. In 1995 she was president of the R.I. Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ginger has been a Greenville resident for 34 years and an active member of the Greenville Baptist Church, of which she was a past Moderator. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School in May 2013.

Ginger is survived by her sisters, Myra Dionne of Smithfield and Wendy Riddensdale of Lisbon, N.H., and cherished niece by marriage, Terri Mooney, of Hilton Head, S.C. Ginger is also survived by five nieces, one nephew and several great-nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at 11 a.m., in Greenville Baptist Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville.
